Lus and her twin brother Avaritia were born Holland in the middle of a violent storm. Maybe it was the storm that gave her a fearsome reputation in the village where she and her family lived, but it was probably more due to her magical powers, more prominent in her than in most young witches and wizards. The storm probably just added to the rumours about her, which varied from her amazing healing powers to her ability to control the weather. Of course, Lus couldn't actually do these things, but people were still scared of her.

From a young age, Lus had a strong sense of justice. She hated seeing any injustice done to anyone or thing. When she was six, a bully twice her age tried to steal another girl's lunch money. Lus faced the bully and told him not to harm the girl, who she didn't even know. She came out of the incident with a broken arm from being beaten up, but still claims she wouldn't have acted any differently.

Her parents made the decision to send Lus and Avaritia to Britain for school when the rumours started sweeping out of their village and slowly creeping out into others, the claims getting wilder and wilder with every mouth they passed through. It got so bad that Lus was sent to live with her mother's cousin in London when she was ten until she was old enough to attend Hogwarts.

Lus is - there is no other word for it - semi-emo, at least to the outside world. She is withdrawn and sarcastic at the best of times, with a sharp tongue and even sharper wits. She never seems to have anything nice or comforting to contribute to a conversation, but contributes anyway. She is almost fearless, which makes her unfeeling towards people who openly show their fears. Consider it an excellent achievement if you befriend Lus. If you do, you'll realise that under her shell of moodiness Lus is very vulnerable, and caring towards anyone. She hates seeing injustice done to anyone, so beware.
