Dale shrugged and peeeeeeeered in at... Lewis? Was that his name? Anyway, so he peeeeered in and tried to see if maybe the dude's eyes were moving.
When the spell of electricity shot STRAIGHT PAST him, aimed at the prefect's feet.
Well... that was a nasty shock (GEDDIT?!), and Dale, for the second time that lesson, jolted (GEDDIT AGAIN?!) in surprise. This was not good for the way he was positioned, and the chair scraped from under him.
Before he knew it, Dale was flailing to the ground with a strangled 'ACK!' issuing from his lips, hitting the floor with a painful THUMP. "...ow." Quote:

But luckily, he was just entering that age where he could laugh at himself. Mostly he was surprised.
"I'm good, I'm good... no head injuries sustained and all that," he mumbled, rubbing his head anyway. "Who knew I could make a thump that loud..."
As he brushed himself off and started to pick himself up, he saw who was trying to help him.
Oh.
OH.
"Oh." Dale couldn't help but look sliiiiightly concerned for THIS guy more than himself. But he tried to cover the expression and smile a little. "You back with us now?"
THEN he followed the prefect's gaze.
OH.
"Oh."
Uh-oh.
Lafay did not seem to be the type of professor who would be concerned by his... tumble.
So yeah. ... oh.
" You think that's funny, Upstead? Do that again and I'll through you in detention for the rest of this term." She said angrily. Quote:

Then, she was trying to get a good look at what was happening. Well, people didn't normally just freeze like that...
Then the professor was asking if anyone had pulled something. If they had, it wasn't her. Nope she wasn't that foolish. Not this girl, no way. But she did make a helpful suggestion. "Maybe try splashing him with water...?" That's what people normally did when people fell asleep out of nowhere, maybe it'd work in this case too? Hecate turned to the girl, and cast an aguamenti spell straight to her face...
... yeah...
Patience was no longer in her vocabulary... "When I need your help, I will ask for it." SPOILER!!: Lewis Quote:

It almost looked as if he'd been replaced by a life-like puppet that looked exactly like him but was just...lifeless. Motionless.
A few seconds had passed and it was RIGHT before Professor Lafay sent a spell at his feet that Lewis just blinked once and his lips moved to finish the word he'd started a moment ago. "-tion. Since they're supposed to be strong and-" Once again he stopped talking but this time not because he seemingly just froze but because he jumped slightly in his seat - lowering his raised hand in the process - when a small jolt of electricty coursed through him, apparently coming from the ground somewhere. Followed by the professor asking if anybody had played a prank on somebody.
That really wasn't funny. He wasn't in a good mood anyway and now this.
His eyes widened slightly as he turned to look at Louisa for some sort of guidance but he stopped half-turn, his eyes darting around when he realized that there were A LOT of people looking at him. A lot. Which made him feel extremely uncomfortable. "W-what's going on?" Lewis whispered, leaning towards Louisa slightly, a blush forming on his cheeks as he absently started chewing on his lower lip. Why was everybody looking at him? And why had somebody sent a spell at his feet? BAM!
Lewis jumped again almost onto Louisa's lap for the second time in the last few seconds, when all of a sudden somebody (Dale) attacked the floor right next to him. What was he doing so close to his desk? "A-are you okay?" The Prefect cautiously moved off his chair to crouch next to the fallen Hufflepuff. That had looked rather painful. Did he need a nurse? HIs eyes darted back to Professor Lafay for a moment, a concerned expression on his face. Quote:

So she would finally answer his question. And hopefully tell him why everybody was staring at him.
Did he have something on his face? Phew!
At least the guy was talking. A lot too. Which wasn't all too good but Professor Lafay would forgive that, right? They had to make sure the Hufflepuff hadn't sustained any head injuries or anything after all. Though the more he said the more Lewis secretly wished he would have been knocked out. The Potions Mistress didn't really like interruptions in her class after all. "Good, now go back to yo-" Lewis stopped midsentence again to stare at the other Hufflepuff, his expression sort of resembling Louisa's from earlier with his mouth slightly hanging open. "I...I didn't go anywhere." He was back with...what? What was the guy talking about? Why was everybody still staring at him?
Shaking his head slightly while chewing on his lower lip, the Prefect decided that now was not the time to think about this. They should probably make sure the Professor Lafay could continue with her class after all. Lewis got back up and offered the other boy his hand to help him up.
So he could FINALLY return to his seat as well and they could all just pretend nothing had happened. Or at least that had been Lewis' plan right until the moment somebody completely lost it.
And that somebody was even somebody he knew. Crap. Vickers. Who was Louisa's friend. And his partner-in-crime so to say for their HoM protest. Did that mean they were friends? For once, Lewis hoped that the answer was no to that question. Or else he was going to have to worry about the Ravenclaw as well and why he'd just gone completely insane.
What on Earth was he talking about anyway?! "I don't have anything!" Lewis stated rather defiantly, frowning slightly at the accusation. He didn't. At least nothing that he knew of. And definitely not something that was contagious. He'd know about that, wouldn't he? And what was going on with Professor Williamson? And pestilence?! WHAT?! Couldn't Louisa do something about Vickers? He was HER friend after all. AND he was from her house as well.
The boy started to move again?
Before her shock-treatment?
" Rasting... my office. After class. I don't like being made a fool of. Especially not in my own class..." she said angrily. Quote:

Oh well, Louisa could.
Turning back to look at the professor seriously she went on, "Someone else froze in another class. I've se-."-tion. Since they're supposed to be strong and.
O______________o
Louisa utterly gaped at Lewis. "Merlinit'sthesame," she murmured to herself as the electric shock havoc happened. If Louisa wasn't staring at Lewis and getting confused by the hundred or so question marks popping up in her head, she would've laughed at the poor Huffie boy who peered at Lewis like an artistic painting. " So this is a recurring prank you all are doing on the professors?" She said furious. " I WILL NOT STAND FOR IT!!! Anyone else think they want to pull one over on me will be put in detention!"
This was making her sooooo mad! Quote:

Then in quick succession, Lewis started talking again, and jumping in his seat, and BAM!-- The peering Hufflefpuff (Dale) fell from his perch and was now flat on the floor.
This was too much for the Ravenclaw to bear. The problem perhaps of being too learned of books.
He shot out of his seat, backing away from his workarea until his back hit the supply shelves next to their table, both sleeved arms wrapped over his face with only his terrified blue eyes peering over them "Professor! Its a contagion! Lewis has it... he might've caught it just now.... " he said nudging his head at the fallen Dale "... I saw Professor Williamson freeze up too. It must be coming from the animals..." eyes the dead Plimpies "Its some sort of PESTILENCE." She should have known...
If it wasn't Oliver, it would be Williamson... So that's who showed them and suggested the prank... " I have potions to control pestilence..." she said ominously... She was going to have to pay the goon a visit. Quote:

Then during the quidditch game he froze up." Although he might've just lost some points for shouting out it didn't matter to him because he needed to say something that could help the students and staff. " An orb? What are you talking about? A bludger must have hit you in the head! Vindictus froze because he's a tired old man..."
Woops...
She shouldn't have said that out loud...
Ok...
Back to the lesson.
" Alright, if you are quite finished having your fun... let's return to the plimpies." She put on her gloves. " Gloves on. Take your scalpel, clean it, and cut an incision under the scales by the fins." She demonstrated on the floating creature. " You then remove all the fins from the body, and place them in your tray. Don't worry when they disappear, they are being placed in the ingredients storage." She said waving a slimey gloved hand.
" Now, you will want to rotate the legs one at a time, widely, until you hear them pop out of the sockets, then you may cut along the lose skin, pull the legs off and put them in your tray." As she did so, she looked at the class. " You try now."
