Laurel was born into a wealthy Greek family to a muggle born father and pureblood mother. Her mother came from the Dimitri dynasty, a long line of purebloods that was broken when Laurel's mother, Aliena, married her father, Diogenes, who was muggle born. Laurel and her brother, Soctrates, and sister, Athena, were the inconvenient bad eggs.
But Laurel was determined to show her so-called family that she had the intelligence and the strength, to rise from the ashes, and prove herself.
And she did. By the time she graduated from Durmstrang, the little Greek was one of the most renowned witches of the 21st century. And she still is.
