Some personality traits...
Miranda is a brave, but shy girl. When she see's knew people, she takes a while to get used to being around them. She'll swim at a distance for a little while, and once she knows you're not going to hurt her, she's all for being friends. On the outside, she's a shy girl. But on the inside, there's an adventurer waiting to get out. She is a great listener, but when she gets talking, she won't stop. She'll talk about the adventures she wants to have, or a new song she learned.

And some backstory...
Miranda was born a singer. Her mother said she could sing before she could talk. She spent a lot of time away from her father, because she was never allowed to join him in the sea. Her mother told her it was too dangerous for a young girl, but that never stopped Miranda. One day, during the summer after her third term, she decided she was ready. So, without saying anything, she swam away, looking for her father. But after a whole summer of looking, she could never find him. And to this day, she's still never found him.
