About Him/Her~
Personality: Edith is a level-headed, observant, methodical individual. Due to how she was raised she has come to rely on her instincts and her senses. She exudes power and sophistication and also wields it without pause or conscious thought. True to her heritage she has a strong sense of self control though even she has her limits. When pushed her ire knows no bounds and is swift and fierce. Edith does have a softer side, one of which few have ever witnessed. She has a great capacity for love and tenderness.

She does have a sense of humor and loves to laugh. Her friends and family mean more to her then anything in the world. To those she considers her friends; she is honest and trustworthy and exhibits a sense of humor. To her acquaintances, she is tolerant and patient and very forgiving. To all others she is indifferent and aloof. The only other thing that means as much is her freewill and her ability to choose her own path. Edith does have a stubborn streak and can be extremely obstinate and argumentative. Beware of her temper…it takes a while for her temper to flare but when it does look out. Once her temper and anger get going there are very few people who know how to bring her back down.

History: Edith comes from one of the oldest families in Shadow Hunter history. The Rivermark family isn’t known for their hunting however, they are accredited for making some of the most formidable weapons in the Shadow Hunter community. Edith’s father had pushed her since she was small to become a weapon smith and until she turned 12 that’s what she did.

On her 12th birthday she was allowed to deliver an order of weapons to the London Institute. While on her way their Edith came across her fellow Shadow Hunters in a battle for their lives against a very old demon. It was apparent from the first glance that they were outmatched and didn’t have a chance. Acting on instinct Edith seized two of the short swords and ran to help.

She was the only survivor of that fight and was accredited with slaying the demon. The Clave couldn’t afford to let such an able fighter go to waste so they relocated her to the New York Institute where she has been training and destroying demons ever since.
