If...not, well I was joking?"

Vashti shrugged. "It's fine, really. It's not like he was here to hear you, so no apology is needed." It wasn't like he had to apologize to her or anything - SHE didn't mind him forgetting Derek's age, after all. Now if it was her age he'd forgotten - like if he thought she was nine-years-old - then some apologizing would be required. Ha. But then... "I never would've thought you'd say something so...devious," she said with a laugh. "Maybe you should've been a Slytherin." She was glad he wasn't though. Not that she really had anything against Slytherins, of course - she just liked him better as a Hufflepuff. She also liked the added height these heels gave her, so she laughed at his remark, but... "They're a bit hard to walk in though," she said. "If they weren't so difficult, I'd wear them more often." She didn't like feeling short, after all, and she usually felt really short when standing next to him.

Did she like Marcus's kids? "I could do without Derek," she remarked teasingly, "but Kristina's not too bad. She's the same age as Derek. They're twins." And it was strange considering how different they were - and how different they were from her, especially Kristina. And yet, they got along fairly well. Strange.

Vashti smirked a little as he continued. "Maybe you should just 'officially' ask and find out." Besides, did he really think she was going to say no after all this?
