She shrugged at his question. "I dunno. I'm fine with it." She'd accepted her mum's and Marcus's engagement a long time ago, and Marcus, Kristina, and Derek really weren't terrible people. Plus her mum seemed really happy now, and Vashti wasn't going to stand in her way. Besides, nothing was going to change the past, so she might as well accept what was happening now.
His next question though caught her completely off guard. Well...maybe not completely, considering he sort of slowly built up to it and she figured out where he was going with it before he'd completely finished. She smiled. "No, I don't think it'd be too brash at all," she replied.
An gave a small snort as she spoke, shaking his head slightly.
"Either way, I'm still sorry I forgot the age." Even if she wasn't blaming him at all for the small mishap. At least she was amused, that made him feel infinitely better. And a little less dopey like, though of course he still was.
"If worst comes to worse, hide something in the same manner as he's hid your shoes. Blackmail, nasty piece of work but rather efficient. Or would that just be considered a 'trade'?" Either way, he was sure she could pull off slytherin cunningness if it came down to it in order to re-obtain what was rightfully hers.
"I don't mind the height addition however..." He winked teasingly.
Fine with it? Anakin nodded. That was good, at least she wasn't opposed. At least she didn't hate the guy. And...obviously it made Mrs. Greenwell happy, so that was a good thing as well, right?
"Do you like his kids? How old was the other one?" Before he made another ridiculous comment about age only to be a million times wrong. Again.
He was going to take her smile as at least a good sign, and the fact she was saying it wasn't too brash. Chuckling nervously, and lifting an eyebrow An smiled softly at her.
"And, theoretically, since it's not too brash, what would your response be?" Smile growing even a little wider, he couldn't help adding,
"If it's in the affirmative, I think I'm officially asking. If...not, well I was joking?"
