Dalliesa | Ab-Bot | Hogwarts Trojan War |

This was the Carnival's second day and Bren was determined to put aside his negative view on the people around here and just enjoy the day. He'd spent a big portion of his day on the Carpet Coaster with Bob and Roly, riding with younger kids sometimes to reassure them that Aladdin wasn't going to pop up and get his carpet back or anything.
It was after the fifth time that the three boys were panting and laughing, "I can't... believe... the view.. from up..there," Roly grinned from ear to ear.
"It's so... fascinating." Bob agreed, walking to the buffet table.
Bren was just as excited, looking around for any more fun to hop into when he bumped someone's shoulder and low gasps followed.
Lucie Pope bent down to get her muffin out of the ground. He bent down quickly and got it for her, "I'm so sorry I wasn't looking." He took his wand out and scourgified it. She smiled and shook her head, her blonde curls bouncing around, "It's fine. I wasn't looking either."
When he took in the scene, Bren had to clam his teeth together for his gasp not to show. Lucie was with that werewolf girl who seemed a bit unsettled and tired. "You're having fun?" Lucie's voice cut his thoughts quickly.
"Massively," Roly answered quickly, "Have you tried the Carpet Coaster?"
Lucie shrugged, "I don't think I'll make it. I faint a lot." She charmingly looked at the red-headed boy and Bren could've sworn he'd heard him sigh.
"You really should try it." Bren said, smiling widely.
"Are you offering us a ride?" Lucie's blue eyes sparkled.
He hesitated, that wasn't what he was getting at actually. "W-wll, yes. If you like. There are six of us, though. They only let three on each."
Odharnait snorted, "You can count me out. I'm not here to play."
Lucie rolled her eyes and turned her head toward the matching blonde girl, "Oh, Nait, please don't ruin the mood."
Bren expected the werewolf girl to get her claws out and slash the pretty face of Lucie. Luckily, this 'Nait' girl eyed the dark-haired silent girl next to her, "Ada, you want to ride?" The girl nodded vigorously. With an exasperrated sigh she shrugged, "Fine! Just don't die up there."
Lucie clapped her hands once, the muffin was tossed away a second before, and she beamed up at Bren. "Let's go!"
"Shouldn't we introduce first?" Bob chuckled.
Lucie blushed and chuckled along, "Yeah, sure. I'm Lucie Pope, seventh year Slytherin. This is Idony Bonney, sixth year Ravenclaw and that is my cousin Odharnait Treacy... she's homeschooled." Bren didn't miss the stung look on Nait when Lucie introduce her.
"I'm Bob Pound, seventh year Gryffindor," Bob started, "This is Brennan Harman and Roly Cowden, same." Lucie and Ada bowed respectfully at them while Nait still had the stung look. Another remarkable change to the werewolf girl that Bren had noticed was her white and blue clothes, he had the feeling that hanging out with Lucie required wearing beautiful dresses and having manners. The princess title to the girl obviously wasn't for nothing.
The six made their way over to the Carpet Coaster, Bob was boasting about his child-sitting on the game while Lucie laughed and made witty comments. Idony girl was silent but her face beamed at the heroic tales Bob was making up. Nait, however, walked lazily with the group and slowly fell a step behind as if trying to detach soon. Bren moved to her side, eager to talk to her.
"Hey, I'm sorry about yesterday." He smiled at her, cautiously. She had her arms still folded, her dark eyeliner adding to the piercing look she gave him. "..you know, calling you and the house-elf guys."
The girl forced a scoff, "That wasn't what made me angry." She tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, not in a girly sweet way rather than getting rid of it, "I hate nosy people and you were butting in my business."
Bren shrugged, "Sorry, anyway." Whether she accepted or not, he did not know. Lucie turned around at them, with a childish and rather fake excitement shining off her face, "Nait, look! We're getting the original Aladdin's carpet!" Bren arched an eyebrow as the excited girl got escorted to the so-called carpet by Roly.
"Oh, please!" Nait snorted again next to Bren.
"Your cousin soon will be Jasmina in the air," he grinned, watching Nait's reaction. Shockingly, the werewolf girl smiled and if she hadn't caught him looking, she probably would've chuckled!
Quickly, she jumped on the carpet with Lucie, leaving Bob, Ada and Bren on the next one.
The ride was fine, adrenaline rushed through the boy's body as he screamed excitedly at every bump and turn. The other carpet took another path so he couldn't really follow the others reaction. Ada, sitting in the middle, held on to Bob's arm and sometimes Bren heard her shout half fearful and half exhilarated.
When they landed, Lucie was supported by her cousin but her face beamed at them, "It was awesome!"
"Yeah, I think I lost my hearing." Nait added sarcastically.
Roly seemed smug for some weird reason. Bren made a mental note to ask about any hand-holding or hugging. Bob opened his mouth to shoot a comment but the screams from around drowned his words. The group of teens tried to follow the source of screams, up toward the very high ceiling of the Carnival tent were a dozen of shadowy figures, cloacked and hooded moving slowly toward the crowd down below.
Instinctively, Bren and his friends started running away, he pushed Ada, who seemed too stunned to move, along with him. Some people around them held their ground and took their wands out. Patronuses erupting and prancing or flying toward the dark figures, Bren followed suit. Bob had already casted his own, Lucie appeared on his left doing the same - her penguin Patronus wasn't very powerful and disappeared a half a minute later. Bren focused on his lion and saw the swarm of silvery mist swallowing the dark figures, some were about to escape but other wizards and witches joined in and repelled them away.
Bren felt the ease once things calmed down a bit and there were only two dark figures left, he glanced around and spotted the only useless person that still stood inside the tent. Odharnait. She hugged her torso and seemed too calm and at peace as she watched the others do the job. As if she felt his shocked eyes on her, the girl caught his eyes and quickly turned around and ran out of the tent.
The girl didn't even get her wand out to help. They were in between the terms vacation, magic was still allowed for under seventeen year olds, that was not an excuse. Her face showed terribly peace in such an intense moment. Bren couldn't help but frown at her back as she ran outside the tent.
