Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - ❄ Lunar Library Lurker ❄ - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror

Gideon was hungry. While he wasn't one to normally be overly ravenous at meals...leaving that to Selina or anyone else for that matter...for some reason he was really feeling it as he headed to the Great Hall for a midday meal. Stepping through the door and heading to the Gryffindor House table, the fourth year looked around for any familiar faces but it looked like it was just him around at the time so he simply took a seat on the bench near one end of the table. On a whim, he removed his egg from his pocket so at least he had some sort of companionship.

Aye Gert...this is sooo not you acting crazy.

Okay so the assignment and taking care of the egg was making him act...different then he usually did. That didn't mean he was crazy or being all strange. And it would be worth it in the end. Glancing over the food choices, Gideon took a little bit of everything that looked appealing to him, adding them to his plate. He had taken a couple of bites when he thought he heard something and looked to either side of him wondering if someone had found him. But no one was approaching or even nearby unless they were at other tables having their own meals and not paying him any attention.

Weird...

Gideon heard it again and looking around, he finally looked down to see his egg vibrating, the movement causing the sound against the wooden table. If it was a living creature, he might think it was hungry but that was impossible as a silver egg...right? "You're...hun--" he was about to question before breaking off and shaking his head as if to shake the thought off. It was crazy and picked up the egg to bring it closer to get a better look. Something was making it react and now he had to figure it out.

It wasn't shivering like when it was cold... or acting like it was when too hot or dry...so what was it?

Too moist?

"Argentum siccus," he tried with a twirl and a point, the Gryffindor awaiting some sort of reaction. Hopefully it would do something.
