Letter in hand Kennedy made his way to the Owlery. He was finally writing back to his mom. He knew he should have done it much earlier, but she had made him a tiny bit angry, so he waited...and waited. Oh gosh, she was going to be SO mad. He could already hear her voice scolding him.

Oh well.

He set the rolled parchment on the table and looked up for a free school owl. Just as he was going to call one of them down, when he felt something begin to shake in his pocket and grow warm. This time he wasn't surprised as to what it could be.

The egg.

He took it out and switched it from hand to hand. It was a bit too warm than before. What if the creature inside it was a fire creature? He snapped out of his thoughts when the egg began shaking out of control.

"Wow!" Kennedy said, securing the egg in his hands. He didn't want it to be a scrambled egg on the ground.

He took out his wand a pointed it at it. "Argentum Frigidus!" he said. The egg cooled down, but the shaking kept going. Was it trying to say something? Like communicate with him?

Whatever it was, Kennedy was going to have to walk around with a shaking egg in his pocket.
