Well this was a terrific start to the lesson!
Seren smiled brightly and nodded as the students correctly identified the seeds as puffapods. The variations seemed to have thrown off a few students, which she thought was rather amusing.
Taking one of the orange seeds in her hands she ran her fingers over the smooth, hard exterior. "Well done!" she exclaimed, "Most of you correctly identified them as puffapods, they are commonly found in pink but other colours are avaliable.... depending on who you know and where you look," she said with a wink. "Colder climates like those in the Alps will yeild purple or blue puffapods," she gave Spike an appologetic smile... why hadn't she thought to bring blue ones to class? "...wheras warmer climates yield yellows and oranges." "Pink puffapods are the most common and the most hardy, they adapt to temperatures quite well, just so long as their roots are kept warm in extremely cold weather." "Today we will be planting these lovelies, but before we get to that, can anybody tell me that the primary use of the puffapod is?" OOC: Just so you know, I'm not awarding individual points during this lesson, but you will all be getting points for your answers along with your participation. I'll continue the lesson in approx 12 hours.
