Grandma Charisma didn't get her name by coincidence, she had this ability of drawing attention to her whenever she set a foot in a room. Bren had been heading toward the door when his seventy-five years old grandma stopped him, "Have you seen my wand's holster?" Her voice was just as strong and echoy as ever. He ran a hand through his messy hair, "No, grandma. Rita might've." Weren't house-elves supposed to know everything after all? "She is the slave around here."
"She's not a slave, boy, she's a servant." The old lady let go of his elbow and walked slowly toward the living room. He watched her, leaning heavily on that cane of hers. It was really amazing how steady her voice sounded compared to those legs of hers.
"I'm going out!" He called out randomly and bolted out of the double door, across the front garden and on toward the two boys talking just outside the double doors.

"You're late." Roly complained fixing his shirt.
"Sorry, I had to-" His eyes fell on a weird scene and he had to pause.
Bren and his friends were standing just a couple meters away from his property, there was a road leading all the way to other houses or properties but few meters to the north stood a girl and a house-elf. They were deep in argument, the girl was wearing a black short skirt, despite the cold, and a white shirt under a black vest. Her blonde hair falling messily and loose on her shoulders.
"Hellooo!" Bob snapped his fingers making his staring friend jump. "It is gravely dangerous to stare at that girl."
"Who is she?" Bren didn't drop his gaze.
"She's nobody. Bren, I'm serious, you don't want to be seen-" Bob was saying when the house-elf pointed at them and the girl looked up.
Bren sucked a breath, partly because Bob's warning made him feel uncomfortable and partly because the girl's face was not as warm and lovely as her posture.
She was making her way toward them, determinedly. The house-elf confidently walking behind.
"Oh. No." Roly breathed.
"What are you staring at?" She hissed, her hazel eyes burying into Bren's green ones. He blinked. "Er.. nothing. Sorry, I was just..." Gulp. There was something about the strong, piercing voice of this girl that made him insecure, "..why were you guys arguing?" He finished nervously.
Obviously addressing the girl and her house-elf as 'guys' was one of those mistakes Bren was going to regret soon.
The girl pointed a threatening finger at him, "You're lucky I don't have my wand on me!" She said through her teeth. Bob and Roly were cowardly silent. "Eela, let's go." She turned on her heels and went away. Bren let out a breath he didn't know he was holding and watched the girl walk away defiantly, her house-elf walking next to her.
"Man, you were this close of getting your head ripped off." Bob shot a look of fear at the girl.
"Who was she?" Bren repeated, averting his gaze to his two friends.
"That was Odharnait Treacy, THE Treacy girl." Roly said and paused expecting Bren to either cheer or wail. When neither came, he sighed and continued, "The Treacy are the ones living in the far northest point in Fortvania. She's almost our age, I guess, take or give one year. She's weird and rumors float around her like pixies around bunch of kids."
"Why?"
Roly shrugged, looking at Bob for support. "I dunno. She doesn't go to school, she doesn't have friends... rarely seen in the community. She even disappeared when she was younger."
Bren found all of this intriguing. "What about the rest of her family?"
"Totally fine and normal." Bob was the one to answer this, "My dad says hers work for Accident and Catastrophes. He always makes excuses for his daughter's weird acts."
"And why would rumors float around her? Can't one be weird in this town?"
Neither one of them had answered instantly. They both seemed to think it over. Then Roly spoke quietly, "There's been an accident." He swallowed, "When she was around ten. People said that she was bitten by a werewolf and became one. A very rebellious one."
