Summer of 2067 – Louisa's house, London.
"Careful not to scare him." Jason says gently. Louisa is smiling and her eyes glittering at the small hamster her stepfather's got her. Her small hands hold the squeaking creature carefully.

"It's so little." She whispers.

"He is. What do we call him?" Jason smiles at her.

The little girl stares up thinking, "I like the name Mikash."

He blinks. "Where did you hear that name?"

"Mom said it on the phone last night." Stare. "Is it a bad name?" The girl's worry showing in her blue eyes.

"No, hun Lou. It's fine." It's only your real father's name. Heh.
