That's Rough Buddy | Be the Flower | Moon & Stars
For the last thirty minutes all that Kennedy has done is stare at the metal egg in front of him. He has created a small cardboard box with no top. Inside the box there are several layers of cotton. He calls it his egg carrier.
He's ignored his homework while thinking what kind of creature is growing inside the egg, if there's even a creature in there. He's imagined it hatching into a baby dragon, but then that would be too dangerous. Plus, his mom wouldn't allow him to have a pet dragon. What if it was a phoenix? Nah, the professor couldn't possibly afford phoenix eggs for every student. Also, weren't they rare? Eh.
He ran his finger over the top of the egg for what had to be the hundredth time, then he noticed a difference. It was slippery. His egg had NOT been slippery. Kennedy then realized that it was humid. That wasn't right. Right?
The snake took grabbed his wand, that was laying beside the metal egg and looked up the charm to dry it. After skimming his notes, Kennedy twirled and pointed his wand at the egg while at the same time saying, "Argentum Siccus!" He squinted his eyes, trying to see if it was still humid. It wasn't until he ran his finger over it that he knew it wasn't humid anymore.
Success.
