This chapter was very hard for me to write. That is all I am going to say.

Disclaimer: Everything Harry Potter belongs to JK Rowling.

Chapter Eight.

Ella, I am so sorry that I missed seeing you. It’s almost time now. I can’t wait to see you. I can’t believe it is already August. I know mom and Dad miss you very much. Oh and when you were sick, I meant Severus Snape. He seems to really care for you. Hogsmeade is so beautiful, even in the summer time. The people are warm and welcoming. I really wish I could just live here. Dumbledore has been visiting me, which is nice. There seems to be room for a part time writing teacher at Hogwarts, its not definite, but it’s a maybe! The hospital thinks I am having a girl, but I don’t think so. Sirius hopes for a boy, I just know it!
Well, I love you very much, and I am glad to hear that you are doing very well. You’re such a young beautiful young lady.
I love you very much.
-Your very pregnant sister,
Jenny

Ella ripped the letter in shreds. With tears flowing down her face, her breathing was uncontrollable. She needed to break something, even to kill something.

“Ella, everyone is asking about you.” Lupin spoke softly, tears in his eyes. Looking up at him, Ella saw his eyes red and his limbs weak. The change would be happening soon, she thought. Closing her eyes Ella felt the strength to stand up. Helping her up towards the door Remus whispered, “Its almost over”

Trembling, Ella braced the stair railing for support.

Everyone was there.

“Ella, I am so sorry.” Harry murmured. Standing there embracing each other,

Ella felt comforted.

“Thanks Harry, She believed you. She never had a doubt.”

“I know.”

Molly and Arthur, being the kind people they are, served the family and friends drinks and snacks. Hermione was leaning on Ron, who didn’t mind, and had his arm around her. Ginny and her other brothers, were sitting in front of the hearth in silence. It wasn’t hard to notice her family. Americans through and through they stood out, even though their attire was different, their emotion was the same. Looking about, Ella saw her parents hugging Angela and Lisa. The Greene’s were weeping in each other’s arms.

“Where is he?” Ella whispered to her friends.

Hermione ushered towards the window. There Ella saw a black shabby dog lying on its side, on top of two freshly dug graves.

The sight was so unbearable. “I wish I could go out there, without being seen.” Ella said.

“Come with me.”

“Your cloak?”

“This the only way, you can leave without being seen.” Harry whispered.
Nodding, Ella wrapped the invisibility cloak around her.

Making her way towards the door was no easy feat. It seemed everyone was crammed in the Inn at Hogsmeade. It seemed Jenny had touched many lives.

Ella groaned at the sight of Rita Skeeter. The fake tears and false stories of her and Jenny’s friendship were almost too hard to bear.
-------------------------------------------------------------

Walking up the slight hill, Ella saw Sirius jump.
“It’s just me, I am using Harry’s cloak”
Nodding, he went back to lying on the graves.
Sitting behind him, Ella cried reading the stones.

“Here lies Jennifer Greene, Daughter, sister, Reporter, and mother.”
April 28th, 1968 – August 29th 1995

Slowly turning her head, Ella stared at the smaller stone.

Here Lies baby boy

August 29th 1995 – August 29th 1995

“We were going to name him James Remus” Startled Ella saw that Sirius had changed back. Handing him the cloak, he put it over himself.

“My wife and child are both gone.” His words were barely heard through the weeping.

Ella’s heart hurt from the pain.

“I wanted so badly to tell the world I loved her. But with my status in the world, we couldn’t announce it. Now, her reputation will be buried with her. My son, only an infant will be talked about in whisper and wonder.”

“No Sirius, no he won’t. He should be known by name.” Closing her eyes, Ella felt her power strengthen as each letter was being carved into stone.

Here lays James Remus Black, gone from this world too soon.
He will be missed by his father Sirius Black, friends and family.

Still crying Ella stared at Jenny’s grave stone.

“Here lies Jennifer Greene Black
A wonderful, Wife, sister, Daughter and Reporter
She will be missed by her Husband and a son

Benedicat tibi Dominus et custodiat te.
Dominus faciem suam tibi luceat,
et misereatur tui.
Dominus vultum suum ad te,
et det tibi pacem

Ella smiled, “you’re in peace now”
Withdrawal

“Thank you, Its beautiful”

“Your welcome brother.”
Still closing her eyes, Ella felt the power within her subside, and go away.

“She never even held him!” He screamed.

“Sirius, I know it isn’t fair, but trust me she is holding him right now.”

“I was there Ella, I held her until her last breath.”

“You have to be strong, Sirius.”

“I don’t want to live anymore.” “I can’t even mourn properly for her.” “They said it was the stress of the birth, it came so fast. Complications came. I never thought this would happen.”

Ella sat there in silence, reading the grave marker over and over, as though it was all a dream and a stranger’s name would appear.
-----------------------------

“Ella, your parents, they want proper time with Jenny.” Looking at Molly Weasley in disgust, Ella couldn’t believe her parents.

“I know Ella, they think I am there bloody servant!” Just then Molly noticed the grave marker.

“Oh my!”

“In death, the truth needs to come out.” Ella said. Nodding, Mrs. Weasley walked away.

“I can’t wait for them to leave.” Ella said under her breath

“Why aren’t you going back to the inn?” Sirius asked.

“I want to see there faces. They need to be informed.”

“I am going to get Remus; I need to take a walk.”

“Ok.”

“Ella, I thought we told that Weasley lady that we wanted time alone.”

“ I don’t live under your roof anymore, and I want to pay my respects to my sister and nephew.”

Seeing her parents cringe at the sound of the word nephew, brought new anger to Ella.”

“Did you know about the baby?” Deborah asked.

“Of course I did.” Her parent’s blank stares allowed her to further explain the graves.

“I fixed their grave markers.”

Their faces were drained of all color. They had no idea their eldest child was married to the notorious Sirius Black.

“Jenny valued the truth more than anything. She hid her marriage and pregnancy from the world because she would have been cast aside and judged. Sirius Black committed no crime, and even Dumbledore knows that. Blame yourselves for not being there for her, she was afraid her own parents would not understand”

“Do not act like we didn’t love our own daughter.” Deborah said

“Jennifer was my pride and joy, my wonderful smart daughter. I remember the day she came into this world, I knew I couldn’t love anything more , When you came home , I couldn’t find a place in my heart for another daughter! I already had three!” Ella’s heart stopped. “You weren’t like the others. You purposely tried to push my buttons. You didn’t have their drive, their brains, you were nothing like the family I already had!”

Edward Greene stopped talking and walked up to the grave. Toughing the stone, he whispered a small prayer. Looking at the smaller grave, tears weld
up in his eyes. “Come on Deb, lets go home.”

Following her husband, the Greene’s walked away from two daughters, they would never see again.
