Except you've got one of your operations wrong. The E is for Exponents." Not that they really used exponents in Arithmancy, but you know, for accuracy and all. Division and Multiplication were rather interchangeable, so Fina wasn't terribly fussed over that. Quote:

PEMDAS!" *** "The order of operations is crucial to many of the numbers you'll calculate in your Arithmancy studies..." Hadley began, pausing for a bit. "Which is why, I want to make sure you remember them. Using a mnemonic. As August here mentioned, the order of operations can be summed up using the mnemonic, PEMDAS. Which stands for, Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication & Division, Addition & Subtraction. The classic muggle phrase for this, which some of you might be familiar with is 'Please excuse my dear Aunt Sally.'" Hadley frowned slightly.
"I don't know about you, but I don't have an Aunt Sally. So what I want you to do is create your own phrase. Wizardfy it. Make it personal to you. Something that you can remember when we get to calculating numbers." ooc: create your own phrase for the mnemonic, PEDMAS. Be creative. Have fun with it. Jess is going to sleep, to allow others in different timezones to partake in the lesson, so you have probably about 8-9 hours to work on this, before we progress . . . =)
