And look at you smart Lions already attempting your challenge numbers on your own. Fina made a mental tab to check their works after the four students displayed their examples on the board.
Hmm, she hadn't expected Josh to volunteer, yet as she stood up, she smiled at him anyhow. That is, before she looked in her book really quick to make sure she knew what the heck she was doing. Like the pinnacles, but just subtraction. Alright, hopefully that was...simple enough.

Moving up to the board, she wrote out the equations first so she wouldn't forget before starting to move onto the calculations. With nothing mentioning the Destiny number, she almost forgot about her already. Thank goodness too. Evelyn didn't want to end up in a bad mood for the rest of the lesson.

First Challenge Number
Day of Birth - Month of Birth

20 - 8 (August)
2 - 8 = -6

Second Challenge Number
Year of Birth - Day of Birth

2058 - 20
(2 + 0 + 5 + 8) - (2 + 0)
(15) - 2
6 - 2 = 4
Third Challenge Number
Second Challenge Number - First Challenge Number

6 - 4 = 2
Alright, this really was harder than the pinnacle numbers, especially since she hadn't done these Challenge numbers before. Were they supposed to keep the negative signs for the final answer? Especially when calculating the third challenge number? Or just leave them off entirely since it didn't matter if it was a positive or negative in the end.

Unless she did the calculations wrong, considering it only said to subtract the two numbers, yet in the book, the equations for both the pinnacles and challenges were just a little different from one another. What if they wrote the book wrong? Eh well, Hadley would tell her if she were wrong. Meh, being wrong. Not cool.
