Treyen actually wondered what was written there, though.
After being glared many times by the Slytherin girl, he decided to turn back to his parchment almost instantly, and kept on working on the oh-so-long calculations. SPOILER!!: Treyen's Parchment Life Path Number.
DOB: April 10, 2059
(0+4) + (1+0) + (2+0+5+9) = 4 + 1 + 16
5 + 16 = 21 = 2 + 1 = 3 THREE (3): Your path will entice you to be both spontaneous and creative, to live your life with joy and imagination. You will learn the benefits of optimism and enthusiasm, and how to express your emotions and exuberance. Once you've mastered these concepts, you'll move on to the next phase - inspiring others. You're a born communicator and your wit and lightheartedness will help others see the joy in any situation. Artistic, creative, and articulate are words to describe someone with a 3 Life Path. Career/vocation options should relate to anything artistic - writing, speaking, designing, illustrating, dancing, etc. Pinnacles. First Pinnacle
(0+4) + (1+0) = 4 +1 = 5 FIVE (5): Prepare yourself for change and uncertainty, while relaxing on restrictions of your past patterns to deliver you freedom and liberation. Many people don't like change, so if you're one of these people, this time can be very unsettling, filled with restlessness, activity, and public life. Changes in attitudes, career paths, and business decisions that are forward thinking favor sales and promotions and do well under this 5 energy. Learn during this time to avoid impulsive choices, especially the urge to quit and leave. The major attainment is to learn to be flexible and adaptable. Second Pinnacle
(1+0) + (2+0+5+9) = 1 + 16 = 17
1 +7 = 8 EIGHT (8): An eight in a Pinnacle position dictates a time for learning to handle the business world and any type of authority, and from that to discover your own sense of personal power. You will learn about money, power, authority, as well as the essentials of organization, leadership, responsibility, efficiency and management (particularly of financial matters). During an 8 Pinnacle, your judgment will be repeatedly tested during your opportunities to manage business and further your career. Recognition for your achievements are significant under this number. Home life may be of less importance under this Pinnacle, but that may be necessary to learn the important lesson - become your own authority and trust your true power. Third Pinnacle
5 + 8 = 13 = 1+3 = 4 FOUR (4): The 4 Pinnacle is an especially important time for constructing your life with solid, stable, long-lasting foundations. During this Pinnacle, you will be learning about persistence, hard work, patience, planning, organizing, and moving ahead with a methodical plan. As you learn these traits, you will need to apply them practically, putting your ideas into shape and creating a stable place for yourself in the material world. This is not a time of leisure, but is a demanding period requiring discipline, recognition of limits, and a serious attitude. Fourth Pinnacle
(0+4) + (2+0+5+9) = 4 + 16 = 20
2 + 0 = 2 TWO (2): Your greatest attainment will be to learn how to have
harmonious relationships without sacrificing yourself. The number 2 Pinnacle represents unions, partnerships, patience, and fairness, with a focus on working as a team. During this time of your life, you may be learning to cooperate, share, and be considerate of others. The 2 Pinnacle may be a time where you will find achievement in fields of work where precision and detail are valued because you have a natural gift for relating facts, gathering and perfecting details, and knowing what's correct and right. _____________________ 1st Pinnacle____ 2nd Pinnacle ____ 3rd Pinnacle ____ 4th Pinnacle

Was it all right, though? It probably was, he couldn't be THAT awful at math. After all, they weren't interpreting way too much.
He was about to mention something else when the heard Hadley exclaim a name that he liked so very much, though, he preferred Eliana Stone, and turned his head around just to see what Hadley was talking about, and to see if Ellie was alright, of course.
And...she seemed to be doing NOTHING, Hadley. He raised his eyebrow at the Professor, because he was clearly confused as to what was going on.
First Sierra, now Ellie? Turning away from Ellie for a few moments as Josephina had noticed a few more students had finally set their quills down, the brunette approached to check their work. First, the Hufflepuff Prefect. "Er... your fourth pinnacle there? Is actually master number 11, because you should reduce each component to a single digit first and then add them together." Yup. She said that before, didn't she? "But otherwise, good job." Quote:

He took out another fresh parchment and corrected the third pinnacle. Looking up at the Professor he grins "Guess those 11s really like me."
Nailing the Master Number twice. Imagine that.
He still doesnt know what message he's supposed to inspire other with though other than Party Hearty. Nodding briefly in approval when Salander finally saw his errors, she then turned back toward the girl coloring their parchment. Quote:

Heh... "Making the parchment black...?" That was her goal at least. But...maybe it wasn't such a good idea? She looked back down at her parchment, and slowly dropped her quill into the inkwell, letting it rest. It could stay there for now. What was up with the cheeky students? "This is not art class, Ellie, but Arithmancy. If you'd rather not participate in the calculations, then leave." She said, point toward the door. Of course it would cost the girl sapphire gems, but she wasn't sure those mattered to the girl. Not like Quidditch, anyway. "Oh and three points for your cheek." Honestly, it wasn't like the girl was a new student to Hogwarts OR her lessons; no, she was a bratty teenager instead Quote:

He also wrote down what Professor Hadley had told him about the difference between the master number eleven and the pinnacle number two. However, he was still a bit confused.
"So. . ." he said slowly, "I'm much more likely to get 2 than to get the master number 11, right?" He think he understood what she was saying, but it was just now beginning to get over his head. He folded up his now filled up piece of parchment and stuffed it inside of his pocket. He was going to ask her another question but she suddenly seemed distracted by someone out in the seats. "Not necessarily" Josephina interjected. "If you have a master number 11, then it's an 11, not a two. But you might find yourself following some of the attributes that applies to a two." Quote:

Wait, 11 was a master number, right? Or something? He looked in the textbook quickly.
Whoa, cool! He had a master number. Did that make him awesome? Well, actually, it kinda made him sound sort of weird. But that was okay, he guessed.
"Hmm... Breaking it up did make it easier," he said to himself. He looked down at his calculation to make sure he hadn't made any more stupid mistakes (like calling October the eleventh month...). "Is this correct now, Professor?" he asked while she was still standing near him. "Happens to the best of us," Fina mused at the boy's comment on his math skills. "But yes, that is correct now." At first Josephina thought that Simon was trying to say he had an 8, but then she realized it was hypothetically speaking. "Yes, if it adds up to 17, then you would reduce to an 8 as that particular number for whatever you're calculating." Quote:

Oakey was glad he got the color changing Ink. He felt it made his work easier to follow...for himself at least. Looking over the Hufflepuff first year's work, she shook her head. "Your Life Path Number should actually be 11. Because, per the textbook, you should reduce each component to a single digit prior to adding them together, which would sum 11, not 20." Now to check the pinnacles. "And your last three pinnacles are wrong, as you've miscalculated the value of your year." Yea, it should be a 3, not a 2 if she was looking correctly. Quote:

After double-checking his math, he was pretty sure he'd done it right. So his life path was 4. What did that even mean?
Sounded interesting, he guessed... Sort of... Ish... Shaking his head slightly, he decided he should probably calculate his pinnacles since that's what they were supposed to be doing anyway.
Whoa, wasn't the 11/2 thingy like an overlord number or whatever they were called? Sam flipped through the textbook really quickly until he found it. Oh, master number. Right. Close enough to overlord number, he figured. Did this make him a master? Because he could live with that. Well, anyway...
Whoa. That sounded kinda heavy.
Another heavy one. Geez, was he ever gonna get any relaxation or anything?!
Merlin's trousers. He was apparently going to have an extremely serious, stressful life. Basically everything said he was going to be responsible and should be an accountant or some rubbish... Maybe Arithmancy wasn't as accurate as the professors would like you to believe? He could only hope. He considered asking the professor, but he didn't want to insult her subject or some such thing, so he didn't. Maybe he could learn to live with being responsible? He didn't really know what he wanted to do with his life, anyway. Maybe he could be... Erm... A teacher or something? Education was mentioned, wa'nnit? Meh, he'd figure it out when it came to it... Noticing someone else had finished, Josephina glanced toward an unfamiliar older slytherin boy. Why had she not recognized him before? Strange. Checking his work, she nodded. "Very good, yes." Right then, it probably time to move on. "If you need to recheck your calculations, feel free to do so at the end, but for now we're going to move onto another number that tends to work hand-in-hand with the pinnacles. This calculation can be fairly confusing as well and a bit more advanced, so if you're younger and don't feel comfortable completing it just yet, then you're welcome to just take notes." She paused and glanced around the room quickly before continuing. "It is a number that you must not overcome, but rather indicative of what you should become. Does anyone know what this number is?" For all you bookworms out there who read ahead in the textbook... hehe
