After making his way back to his office, Godric found his favorite old hat. It had actually been a gift from Salazar many years ago…but that seemed forever ago. Tapping his wand on it four times, one for each of them, he uttered words inaudible to the human ear. It was the deepest sort of magic; the sort that can only come from a selfless heart.
Suddenly the hat sprang to life and began to sing. “I’m the Hogwarts Sorting Hat, and I cap them all!”
Smiling, Godric picked up the hat and a single tear trickled down his face.
