Helga hurried through the corridors until she emerged from the castle and into the fresh air. Something wasn’t right and she had no idea why. What was Salazar up to? Why had Rowen suddenly told Godric that she wanted nothing to do with him? She had even witnessed the raven-haired woman throw a ring at him.
Flopping down on the grass by the Black Lake, Helga sighed and looked over her shoulder at the castle. Everything they had worked for was falling apart. Godric had given himself an assignment, now she had one as well.
Time to get to work.
