Hogwarts Express: September 1, 1995

For the remainder of the train ride Pansy continued to sulk as Ava basked in the boys' attention, occasionally grasping at the spotlight by throwing out a line such as "Did you see the Weasley kid gawking at Granger earlier? I swear, it's bad enough that they go to our school already, but the fact that a mudblood and a blood-traitor are practically snogging every five seconds is absolutely repulsive!" To which Draco would dismiss irritably and continue questioning his newfound mini-me.

"So look," he started, as they approached the Hogwarts Platform, "usually I don't associated with first years. However," he said with a small smirk, "I'll be willing to make an exception if you make it into Slytherin." Though it was evident on his face that he was referring to when she made it into Slytherin.

Draco shoved open the compartment door and stepped in stride with the girl. He stopped, a look of disgust on his face as a girl with bushy brown hair and a boy with violently red hair exited the compartment in front of them, murmuring amongst themselves.

"And avoid those two at all costs," Draco pointed out, talking in a much louder tone of voice than actually necessary. The redhead whirled around, a look of anger on his face.

"What was that Malfoy?!" he cried, his wand now drawn. He looked down at Ava, eyes narrowing. "Oh and I suppose this is your new apprentice? Taught her to slaughter muggleborns yet?" the boy spat. Ava glared at the boy, opening her mouth to speak. She was interrupted however, as Draco put a calm hand on her shoulder and spoke for the both of them.

"I suppose you could say that," he stated, leading the girl away. "But I'll have you know we've got big things planned Weasley. This year's going to be much, much different." And at that the two turned, walking away from the awestruck faces of Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
