Remus looked out the window at his Goddaughter. She had seemed so distance of late. She was jumpy, scared, and her Metamorphmagus-Power's weren't working. She often went out, and wouldn't return until very late, or even the next morning, or maybe a few day's later. He watched her take a lock of hair, screw her eyes up, open them expectantly, then let it fall limply back into place. It pained him to see her like this.

'Darn Depression.' I thought.
I tugged at my hair, which was black once again. I looked up, remembering the secret trip to Snape's. If Remus knew I was doing this secret agent stuff... well, I wouldn't be here. The last one was really odd, as I remembered it...


'Let me in, it's pouring!' I yelled.
Snape opened the door.
'My My, what's with the black hair?' he asked, standing back.
'Stupid Depression.' I muttered, coming in.
No sooner had I settle down on a sofa then there was a knock. A few moment's later, Aunt and Mum came in.
'Oh Lord. Hello Aunt.' I said.
'Hello Baylee.' said Aunt, who looked white.
No surprises there.
'No Hello for your Mum?' asked Mum.
I raised an eyebrow.
'Considering what you've done, you're lucky I'm even speaking to you.' I said.
'I know I'm not to be here. The Dark Lord himself forbid me to speak of this...' began Aunt.
'If the Dark Lord has forbidden it, you are not to speak... Put it down, Bella. We mustn't touch what isn't ours' said Snape.
Mum put the object back.
'As it so happens, I'm aware of your situation.' finished Snape
'You? The Dark Lord told you?' said Mum.
'Your sister doubts me. Over the years I've played my part well, so well I've deceived one of the greatest wizards of all time.' said Snape.
Mum snorted.
'Dumbledore is a great wizard. Only a fool would question it.' snapped Snape.
'I don't doubt you Severus.' said Aunt.
'You should be honored Cissy, as should Draco.' said Mum.
' ...He's just a boy.' said Aunt
'I can't change the Dark Lord's mind. But it might be possible for me to help Draco.' said Snape.
'Severus...' said Aunt, getting up.
'Swear to it... make the Unbreakable Vow.' said Mum suddenly.
There was a silence.
'It's just empty words. He'll give it his best effort, when it maters most. He'll just slither back into his hole... coward.' taunted Mum.
'Take-out-your-wand.' Snape said coldly.
Mum drew her wand, and put them on top of Snape's and Aunt's clasped hands.
'Will you, Severus Snape, watch over Draco Malfoy, as he attempts to fulfill the Dark Lord's wishes?' asked Mum.
'I will.' said Snape.
'And will you, to the best of your ability, protect him from harm?' questioned Mum further.
'I will.' said Snape.
'And, if Draco should fail, will you yourself carry out the deed the Dark Lord has ordered Draco to perform?' said Mum.
There was a silence. My eye's were on Snape.
'I will.' said Snape finally.

'One weird meeting.' I thought.
'Baylee?' said a voice.
I jumped, turning to face Remus.
'Oh hey.' I said.
'Baylee, you do know, you could tell me anything that was wrong?' said Remus, sitting next to me.
'Yeah.' I lied.
'You're not going to know about this agent work even if hell freezes over.' I thought.
