You can quote, disagree with, glorify or vilify me But about the only thing you can't do is ignore me I breathed slowly and carefully, the wand pressed against my throat, my feet dangling a few feet from the floor.
'Any last requests?' Mum whispered.
'Yes. A counter curse for the Killing Curse.' I retorted.
She laughed. Tears threatened to burst out at the thought of never seeing Remus again. At least I would be able to see Sirius again...
'NOT ON MY WATCH!' yelled a voice and Bella was blasted away and I fell to the ground, landing on my ankle. A sharp, hot pain shot through.
'Baylee, are you alright?' asked a voice next to me.
I looked to see Remus next to me.
'I'll live.' I said, trying to get up.
The pain was too much and I fell back to the floor, clutching my ankle.
'What happend?' he asked.
'I could ask you. I was bering suspended, someone yelled...' I began.
'Oh.' said Remus with a grin. 'That was your dad.'
'Okay, she dropped me, and I landed on my ankle.' I said.
I looked to see Dumbledore was kneeling next to Harry. Mum and Rylee had disappeared.
'Harry.' I whispered, crawling over to him.
He lay there, still. I clutched his hand, tears leaking.
'You okay Baylee?' asked Dad, kneeling next to me.
Voldemort appeared, took hold of Dad's sleeve, and disappeared, taking Dad with him.
'He's back.' said Fudge, who I hadn't noticed.
'Took you long enough.' I muttered.
My heart hurt. Padfoot was dead, My mum tried to kill me, my dad had disappeared, my brother had gone to the other side. I clung to Remus's shirt as he picked me up.
'You're not gonna get anywhere on that ankle.' he said.
'Would you like to take her back to the Hospital Wing?' asked Dumbledore.
He gestured to the fireplace. Remus nodded and walked into it. He stood there, there green flames engulfed us and we were spinning. I clung to him, as we emerged in the hospital wing. Madam Pomfrey looked up from Ginny.
'Another broken ankle?' she asked.
I nodded. Remus put me on a bed, and Madam Pomfrey looked at it. She waved her wand and my ankle became very hot, then cold.
'That should do it.' she said briskly, tying a bandage round it. I stood up, and tested my ankle.
'Thanks.' I said.
'Think nothing of it.' she said, going to help Hermione. I looked out my room at Malfoy Manor, listening to Mum and Dad arguing.
'She's your own flesh and blood! You're a blood traitor simply by trying to kill her!' roared Dad.
'She isn't anything to do with me. I have no daughter!' shrieked Mum.
I rubbed my left arm, when the Dark Mark had just been branded. I couldn't believe what I had done. I had left her, left her when she might of needed me the most. I put my head in my hands. I couldn't get over the guilt.
