Hogwarts Express: September 1, 1995

Ava spent the rest of the ride with the three boys and a girl that entered their compartment not too soon after she met the boys.

"And this is Crabbe and Goyle." Draco rushed, rolling his eyes. He leaned down and whispered in her ear, "Really, they're quite stupid, so you don't need to pay any mind to them. Easy to boss around though, only thing that makes them useful." He told her with a wink. "So who're you?" he asked, now talking at a normal volume.

Before Ava could answer, the door opened and a girl Draco's age walked in. The girl raised an eyebrow. "Well hello. And who is this, might I ask?" The girl glanced at Draco, then back at Ava.

"Ava Pierce, you are?" she asked, imitating the girl's expression- much to the amusement of Draco, who had to pass his snicker off as a cough.

"Pansy Parkinson." she snapped. She looked back at Draco and crossed her arms over her chest. "And why, are we sitting with an eleven year old?"

He shrugged. "She was already in our compartment so I figured I'd just let her stay. Besides, she looks like she'd make a good snake." He glanced back at Ava. "You a pureblood kid?" He asked. She nodded enthusiastically in reply. "See? What did I tell you?"

Pansy sighed and rolled her eyes. "Fine. The kid can stay." She squeezed in on the other side of Draco and sighed in acceptance.
