Hogwarts RPG Name: Ava Jade Lyall Fourth Year | The March | Ava Jade the Valiant | ❤ Mrs. Caspian ❤ Hey, sorry for the long break! School has been keeping me busy. This is another poem about a struggle -- I guess that's just what I've been thinking about a lot.. (I blame finals) The March
A narrow twisted road awaits,
A road marked by long lost fates
One step forward leads you nearer to dark
Yet one step back is farther from your mark.
The never-ending struggle, the lasting question:
March on?
The fate of more than just you in your hand,
A weight, a fire, a reason -- you understand
That one wrong move, a single mistake
Could mean, for a stranger, forever asleep or awake.
The never-ending pressure, the lasting question:
March on?
A thought enters your mind, a poisonous notion:
“I never wanted to be the hero; I never asked to be chosen.
I never sought wealth or power or fame,
And yet here am I, an innocent in the heart of the flame!”
The never-ending choice, the lasting question:
March on?
A look forward, a glance back -- the decision will be binding.
The simple trail leading straight to home, the menacing path forever winding.
To chose the way you have always known, or willingly submit your body to strife –
Yet while one journey is closer to death, the other is farther from life.
The never-ending conflict, the lasting question:
March on?
